then 16 west to US 385. Take US385 north to SD44.
Follow SD 44 East to the falls near Hisega.

oldest gold mine in the Black Hills, this falls
was said to have been "created" when early miners
accidentally blasted a hole in the bottom of Rapid
Creek. The falls are about 30 feet high. Visitors
can still see drill marks and ore deposits from
125 years ago.
