Thanks for visiting our web site!
We at the Roosevelt Inn take pride in presenting these pages about Mt.
Rushmore and the Black Hills of South Dakota as we attempt to give you
the best information available. We want you to enjoy your visit here,
both as a cyber tourist and in person someday. We hope these pages will
help make your visit enjoyable.
On this web site we offer more than 300 pages of
information about the Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park,
Crazy Horse Monument, Devil's Tower, the Black Hills National Forest,
the Badlands, Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument,
Deadwood and many other attractions in and around the Black Hills. We
also maintain hundreds of links concerning just the Black Hills and
Western South Dakota.
Moreover, we've attempted to make
this information as unbiased as possible. We accept no advertising or
favors for placement or positive comments on this web site.
Attractions, sites and activities are listed without regard to
commercial interest because we believe that some of the best things in
the Black Hills are still free. We also do our best to keep the
information current and we update pages regularly as information
becomes available. Finally, the opinions
expressed here are all
ours. We have lived and worked in the Black Hills for many,
many years and we have visited or seen virtually everything listed –
often more than once. (For instance, our first visit to Wind Cave was in
1956. And we remember Deadwood in the 60s and 70s when it was truly a
“wide-open” town.)
As you might guess, we truly love
these hills. And we think you will too.
We sincerely hope you find this
information useful. To see information about the Black Hills click on

Theodore Roosevelt
The Roosevelt Inn is named in honor of
Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States, who is
among the presidents honored at the Mt. Rushmore National Memorial.
President Roosevelt
served from September 14, 1901
to March 4, 1909. The Roosevelt Inn borrows
from the late-Victorian architectural style common during the Roosevelt
presidency.
The Roosevelt Inn is a small, family owned
and operated hotel that has been serving visitors to Mt. Rushmore since
1991.
